Following her graduation with a bachelor's master's degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University Taft embarked her career at Fox Sports North as a local affiliate and sideline reporter. Apart from covering sports she also worked as an social media journalist and filled in as a host for many games. When she began being employed by Fox Sports 1, her team was comprised of News and Highlights, Taft was dismissed. Taft was employed by FS1 and covered many important titles. She reported these events on the ground. As a journalist on the sidelines of college football, she was elevated to be the primary college football reporter along with Gus Johnson.
